This Saturday, 13 June, at 17:30, we will meet near the marine research institute to clean up the area. Bring your family and friends and join us!
We love Israel, we love Haifa, and we want to live in a clean city!

Over the past two weeks, Facebook has been full of photographs and videos of beaches, parks and playgrounds covered in rubbish — apparently this is how people in Israel are celebrating the long-awaited easing of lockdown restrictions. It is being discussed in the news, and even the authorities have finally noticed the problem of cleanliness in our cities. Thousands of angry comments on social media will not put things right, so we decided to act.

The Telegram news channel “Haifa, what’s new?”, the public organisation «Dor Moriah» and the classified ads website BROOTTO invite everyone to join a new volunteer project, “Clean City”.

Practical details:

• Please mark your attendance on the Facebook event page.
• Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, and bring a mask and a bottle of water.
• Gloves and rubbish bags will be provided on site.
• Meet on the beach side at the exit from the underpass by the En HaYam Metronit stop (Google Maps coordinates: 32.827212, 34.960224). Coordinator’s phone: 0543184132, Olika.

Media support: the “Haifa & Krayot” Telegram chat, the “Haifa Today” and “Haifa Today — From Hand to Hand” Facebook groups, the HaifaRu.co.il news portal and the balagan.news Telegram news channel.
